MJHSS was established in 1979 in the name of renowned freedom fighter Moulana Muhammad Ali Jouhar. The school is run by the Muslim Educational Cultural and Charitable Association (MECCA), which aims to provide quality education to the people of Elettil and its adjacent areas.
The school offers comprehensive education in science, humanities, and commerce, with a focus on academic excellence, holistic development, discipline, community involvement, and social responsibility. MJ has a record of academic excellence, with students passing public examinations with flying colours and pursuing successful careers worldwide.

Our Founder
Mr. PP Abdurahiman Master was an eminent educator, politician and a great visionary who envisaged the entire transformation of a community by setting up an educational institution. He founded the MJ group of establishments with a view of enlightening otherwise an unsophisticated rural society. At present MJ has grown up and ramified to cater the needs of thousands of pupils from far-off places. Mr. PP developed a pioneering scheme to educate the masses and accomplished it.

Being at the helm of affairs of such a great institution is more of an onus than a privilege. Taking full cognizance of that I express due gratitude to all the stakeholder who contributed to building and sustaining with this great institution, MJ. Since its inception in 1978, MJ has remained a name to reckon with, a most sought-after school for the students pursuing high school and higher secondary studies, from and around its home. The journey of MJ’s success has been extraordinary in every sense of the word; with too many milestones accomplished in its material and infrastructure growth, accolades to boast of – in academic as well as co-curricular domains and in terms of its contributions to the society. An institution that has had an overarching impact on the social fabric of the locale and around over the years, is today a Centre Of Excellence in its own right. MJ leads, others follow!

MECCA
Muslim Educational Cultural and Charitable Association (MECCA), is a non-profit organization that operates Muhammed Ali Jouhar Higher Secondary School. Established in 1978, MECCA is dedicated to promoting education, culture, and charity among the local community in Elettil and its surrounding areas. The organization’s mission is to provide quality education to all students, regardless of their background, and to instil moral values and discipline in them. MECCA also runs various charitable initiatives, such as providing financial assistance to underprivileged students and supporting the education of orphaned children. Over the years, MECCA has become a symbol of hope for the community, offering opportunities for social and economic advancement through education.
